About
I have been teaching private voice for over 15 years now. I love it! I began as a Jazz soloist then went onto study voice in college and was the number one soprano touring with a group there and performing in numerous musicals. Then I went onto to sing with Loveland Opera Theater for two seasons and Greeley Community Theater and then finally professionally with Opera Unlimited. I am a soloist for praise bands. I have been a judge for many years for Solo and Ensemble Competitions as well as regional competitons.
It is my absolute passion to see my students reach their goals vocally! They learn to sing with ease, freedom and power. I teach excellent vocal technique. My students have received scholarships to study voice performance at UNM, UNC and ENMU. My students are well equiped for any audition and are often cast in operas, operettas and Musical Theater performances. I have helped my students to sing with confidence in bands and for professional recordings.
Teaching voice is my absolute passion! I LOVE to see my students learn amazing techniques and incorporate them into a performance where they sing with beauty and power!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin by listening to my students goals, and the quality of their speaking voice. I teach them to breathe correctly and raise their soft palate in order to focus the pitch. We start by singing some simple vocal exercises together and then I listen to them sing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In college I learned excellent vocal technique from various professors. However, it wasn't until I trained with someone who sang professionally all over the world that my own abilities grew exponentially. I learn to sing relaxed with beauty and power. Now I pass that onto my own students!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
First lesson is free
20.00 for a half hour lesson
25.00 for advanced students
How did you get started teaching?
When you've been singing for a very long time and learning the most amazing techniques you begin to want to pass that on to others. I started in Colorado with five Voice Student's and by the time I moved to New Mexico I had 30 Voice Students! I not only have the gift for singing and performing with excellence but now I help others to do the same and I absolutely love it!
