Frequently asked questions

We talk about your experience and goals and build on your knowledge!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a masters degree in voice from UCLA as well as 20 years of professional experience performing and teaching.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
i charge 80$ an hour or 40$ for 30 mins.
How did you get started teaching?
Ive been teaching for 16 years, but I made teaching my focus 4 years ago after having a Broadway career.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with all levels and love working with beginners just starting their journey. I am most interested in working with people who feel passionately about learning to become an artist as well as the craft of singing and acting.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a teacher you like working with because this should be fun! Someone with a multitude of ways of approaching a skill. Also someone with an eye and ear for your specific strengths and weaknesses. With voice a background in classical technique is key. In acting, you're looking for someone with the ability to explain abstract and complex ideas. Ideally also someone with experience in breaking down a scene/character/play.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What do I want? What is the dream I have here? What do i know? What do I want/need to know to get there?
