Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We want new students to be comfortable knowing that our instructors will be patient and supportive as they start their dancing experience.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been dancing Latin Ballroom for about 40 years. I learned from some of the best dancers & teachers from all around the world, such us "The Mambo King" Eddie Torres, Puerto Rico's master, Jayson Molina, and German Guru Howie Lorenz to name a few. Teaching at some of the world renown schools like Fred Astaire, Arthur Murray has given me the ability to teach with many different techniques.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My attitude has always been, "Money shouldn't be the reason why someone can't learn", so my prices are affordable for any & everyone desiring to learn. At ONLY $10 for 90 Minute Classes I'm sure you can agree that our prices are extremely low but understand the classes are extremely high quality.
How did you get started teaching?
i officially started teaching at age 16, in 1987, for Eddie Torres and I've been teaching ever since.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from all levels. Whether you are brand new to dance or someone who dances recreationally or a professional dancer looking to sharpen your skills you are welcome.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
i love to see people who feel they can never learn to dance and after a short time they are now dancing machines. I've had the privilege to teach students with one leg, deaf, senior citizens, children and many others who might be considered challenging.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
All I can say is you'll never know who's right for you until you try their class. That's why I give you an opportunity to try a class for FREE.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
just ask yourself what am i looking to accomplish? Am I taking classes to help with my health, my social skills, to help cope with some external trauma or just because I've always wanted to dance. Then find an instructor who you are comfortable with.
