About this pro

What makes me stand out is the quality of the service I provide. I have been crowned champion of numerous dance competitions across the country, and was a 3-time US National Finalist. I have over 10 years of experience teaching, and I am professionally certified to teach Ballroom and Latin. Additionally, in 2019 I earned my personal trainer certification to make sure my students train in a safe and effective way.

In 2022 I was invited to become the coach of the University of Las Vegas Ballroom and Latin dance team.

If you want to learn to dance, look no further.

I love dancing, and I want to share that love with you. Introducing dancing to people who never thought they could do it is makes me happy, and helping dancers take their skill to the next level is rewarding beyond words.

We chose Colin to choreograph our wedding dance and that was absolutely the right decision. We showed him our song and he made a custom dance routine just for us. We spent a few lessons learning and ironing out the wrinkles, and when the big day came we were nervous but we did it and it was amazing!!! We got complimented by just about everyone, and we will always have this memory. Thank you Colin

I started learning from Colin and it has been a blast. He makes learning really easy and I always look forward to our weekly lessons. He really focused on leading and following, so using the skills he has taught me I am able to attend dance parties and just dance with people! I'm so glad I found Colin and Vegas Ballroom Dance, and I would highly recommend him.

Colin is an amazing teacher. He makes learning dance easy and fun, and when we are dancing together I feel like I can do anything. I have tried other teachers in the Las Vegas area, and it is apparent Colin is heads above the rest in terms of skill and teaching ability. I would highly recommend Colin to anyone who wants to learn ballroom dancing or latin dancing.

How did you get started teaching?

I started teaching over 10 years ago, while I was training for the US National Championships. I found that teaching pushed me to be solid in my knowledge and understanding of core principles of dancing, and I discovered I loved teaching so much that I decided to make it my career. I took my professional exams, which I passed with highest honors, and took on teaching full time.

I just love introducing others to the art of dancing, and helping aspiring dancers improve, just like my teachers helped me.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have had students from 7 years old to 87 years old, of all body types and of all athletic abilities. I have taught casual dancers who just want to learn a new hobby, couples planning their wedding dances, and competitive dancers determined to be all they can be.

I have been told more times than I can count that "I have tried dancing before and I just can't do it - I have two left feet." In my experience, that has never been the case. If you can walk, I can get you dancing. Guaranteed.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Always make sure you hire a teacher who has had a successful competitive dance career, not just someone who has been teaching for a long time.

I was a 3-time US National Finalist in Ballroom & Latin, I have 10+ years of teaching experience, and I am the only teacher in the state of Nevada professionally certified to teach Ballroom and Latin Dancing by the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance, the most rigorous and prestigious dance certification organization in the world. That's why the competitive Ballroom Dance Team of the University of Nevada Las Vegas trusts me to be their coach.
