About
I teach drums and percussion to people from a philosophical and personal standpoint. Music is about connecting with yourself. Once you learn how to connect with yourself through music, you can begin learning how to connect with others through music and the better you get at it the more clearly people can understand what you are saying with your music.
Rhythm is the base of all life. When you understand rhythm, you understand the building blocks of creation and life.
I'm here to help you understand rhythm and get you comfortable creating and manipulating time through rhythm, drums and percussion. I can teach drum kit as well as djembe and conga. From entry level explorers to advanced techniques. I work with people to help them create a personal relationship with the drums and guide them from comfortability to proficiency.
I have been drumming my whole life. I am currently 25. I have 2 drum kits set up next to eachother to make playing and practicing together easy. I have played with many bands in a wide variety of genres.
I enjoy watching people grow and watching people create an outlet to express themselves through music. It is a form of therapy and it feels good to help people learn how to help themselves through music.

Look for a teacher that is willing to work with you. Everyone is different so the more rigid teaching methods often don't work for most people. Find a teacher that is fluid.
