About

I find it really important to allow people to learn how to accept and love the way they move. Whether they have been dancing as a professional who now is retired or if they are someone who enjoys and loves to dance and move.

The way I format private lessons is all about acceptance, mindfulness, fun and revisiting your purpose.

I enjoy the people that I meet and they’re learning their WHY.

I also love seeing people go from not knowing how to move to knowing how to move more confidently. I love see the progress and dedication people have to offer for themselves. I see myself as a witness to the process. I feel blessed to be present.

Epic. Started with an initial testing to determine skill level. The following classes we’re insightful, co-guided with superb listening while tackling mental and personal issues surrounding dancing. This allowed for a smoother progression and relaxation though the following classes and allowed us the ability to move creatively towards the goal in mind. Honestly a very fun fluid learning experience. I think it was more a journey into one’s self vs the actual dancing, it felt enlightening. The location speaks volumes of creativity, and a love for the art with years of dedication. Definitely worth it. 10/10

AMAZING! Latisia is an awesome instructor, she pays close attention to detail, provides encouragement and a space to be bold. I appreciate the private lessons because I got to have a mini therapy session while also focusing on dance and the movements I wanted to improve. Everything was super professional and fun. Would 1000% recommend.

I signed up for a workshop thinking I would go learn how to be sexy and leave. I had no idea I would fall I love with the entire experience. From the instructor to the workshop, Move 2B Moved was something I never knew I needed. After the workshop I joined, my soul felt cleansed and happy . From the sisterhood gained, to learning about myself, to letting it all out on the dance floor. This studio went above and beyond. I’m so glad I found it. Also can’t wait to come back. Latisia is not only an amazing instructor, but an amazing women. I’m so humbled and honored to have met, and danced with her. I rate my experience a 10 or of 10. If I could give more stars I would. Don’t second guess, book your classes now. You won’t be disappointed.

    Frequently asked questions

My typical process consists of getting to know who I am teaching. I like to learn how my student moves, how comfortable they are with their movement, what their initial goals are for starting lessons and to get them comfortable with me. We should move well together if we are going to be learning together.

I have a bachelors degrees in dance performance and therapy and I have am a certified fitness instructor and dancing mindfulness facilitator. I danced professionally with rochesters "Garth Fagan" Dance company and have performed on stage since the age of 10.

Prices vary depending on the specific wants and needs of my students but I have a starting rate of $80+/hr and recommend and require a 5 day/lesson minimum commitment in order to really work on goals set. First we will set up a free 30min "Session Intention" that is a meeting to first talk through what your expectations are, what my expectations are and what you would like to get out of taking lessons with me.

I started teaching when I was a child, teaching other children because I loved to dance myself. I enjoyed dancing for fun, I loved making up dances and later it became a way of release for me. I Knew that whenever I needed to get out of my head I could dance and everything would seem clear to me. As I became an adult I saw that benefits of dance more and understood dance through school as an actual healing method. From there I started my own business in hopes to connect with people through movement, with what I love and to introduce them or help them continue to explore themselves through what I love as well. DANCE!

I've worked with toddlers, young children, teens, adults and the elderly. Many of the groups of children I worked with were through schools and creating after school and summer programs. Many of the adults I've worked with were through my dance fitness classes and private lessons that I still currently offer online and in-person.

Keep in mind that all teachers are different and thei philosophies are different. I think it's important to really connect with whom ever you choose to guide your thought your dance experience. If they set a positive, welcoming and accepting foundation, it's a great place to learn and continue to grow while gaining the confidence and joy dance brings.
