About
Cuban salsa and traditional Bachata teacher for almost 14 years in Dominican republic ( cabarete) where i have my dance school for almost 14 years . I also work with dance company in NYC Jungledom network , i also organise dance , cultural & natural Tours in Dominican republic ( 7 days , 10 days , weekenders , " a la carte trips " & more ) . So I dance and teach different dances like African fusion . I love teaching as for me it's the most exciting part even more for people who doesn't believe they can dance . I have a strong relationship with my student cause of the passion I put to teach them .
I'll be in NYC AUGUST 2024 so don't hesitate , I'm specialise in private or private group classes too . I speak English, Spanish and french !

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start by making sure they understand the basics of the dance . Without that we cannot get better. Also I always adapt myself to people , always making sure they evaluate and they stay who they are with style .
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I do shows , workshop , have a dance troup and is the artistic coordinator and lead dancer of both.
I started has a little girl with ballet , follow by modern , jazz and hip hop . Beside that because I'm half Cameroonian I always use to dance African dance . One day I fall in love of Latin dance and even decide to leave in a Latin country to enjoy this dances even more.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I do 80 $ per class ( 1 to 2 person ) . I can do the man and the woman steps and style so it's ok if you are a woman alone or a man alone.
If you wanna do some private group class with friends I'm specialise on it to ( from 4 people ) . I do a price depend of how many people .
How did you get started teaching?
Has a dance lover and traveler I realise one day that I was more interested in teaching than performing. My teaching skills come from the fact that I'm a really patient person but also love to explain the details who get everything clearer.
What types of students have you worked with?
All kind of students . From children's to 70 years old first dance class .
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Dance African fashion show. We were showing some handmade dance costumes we do and dancing too . I also organise a lot of Latin party , were I live so I make sure everybody dance and have fun .
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure he pay attention to details , patient and passionate . To be a good teacher you have to be passionate of a simple basic step has a complicate turn. He most love people and have a psychochologic side to be able to push people when they don't believe in themself .
