About
I graduated at University of Missouri - Kansas City Conservatory of Music and Dance with a BFA in Dance and Minor in Business. I have worked for the NFL Kansas City Chiefs, Norwegian Cruise Lines, RWS Entertainment Group, etc. My service is for the beginning of beginners to the everyday dancer. The lesson is professional, growing and reasonable. I want my students to get the most of what I teach them. Not only do I teach privates but teach wedding pieces, quincenaras and competition dances.
I enjoy seeing the students light up when they know that they overcame a fear through their dancing whether it getting that first dance move they have been wanting to learn for years or the most advanced step!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Every student should feel comfortable in a new dance class. I first figure out what their best learning habits are for instructing them through the style they want to learn. Then, we stretch to get their bodies warm for the lesson and focus on the points of their dance lines to further their technique. The student goes across the floor through different combinations in order to progress in the style. We finish with different instructions to complete before the next dance lesson outside of the hour.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taught at multiple studios and high schools for dance and the arts since I was 14 years old. Starting at multiple dance studio level, I completed 4 years of High School Dance Team and became a Co-Captain the last year. I then made the NFL Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleading for 4 consecive years becoming a Co-Captain. Furthermore, I was part of Norwegian Cruise Lines last year and just finished up a contract with RWS Entertainment Group. Teaching is something that I love to do because I get to give back to the community and watch another person succeed in their goals.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I choreographed a full 15 minute Quincenara with 15 nondancers. This was an amazing opportunity because I got to see each and every one of these students grow in the lessons!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would say find someone you are comfortable around and know you can learn from them instead of them just showing you movement.
