About
I believe that dance is for everyone, and I'm passionate about helping others discover the joy and challenge of dance. I teach from the principles of dance, meaning that I will not only teach specific movements, but give a more holistic understanding that will support further understanding as we progress.
I have experience teaching working in various capacities with students ages 2-85 with many different abilities and goals. My teaching style is energetic, demanding, and nurturing. I teach ballet, modern, contemporary, creative dance, or composition at any level that is needed.
I have a BFA in dance performance with a concentration in composition from one of the top conservatories in the nation (Purchase College, SUNY). Since graduating, I have been dancing and choreographing professionally in the city as well as dancing for and co-directing a new Hudson Valley based repertory company, A-Y/dancers. With my strong technical background and knowledge of the dance field, I am also able to assist young dancers in preparing for a career in dance.
I enjoy providing my students with skills that they can apply in many different ways to different exercises, to choreography, and even to their daily lives. I love to watch those "Aha" moments happen as they realize that each bit of learning can go a long way.

her own body, and she makes different concepts/movements/etc. feel effortless and
accessible. I highly recommend taking lessons with her!

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
The first three private lessons are just $30 each. This is when we’re still getting to know each other, so I can have a chance to see how you move, learn about your goals and challenges, and design a program that’s all about what you want. After that, your individually tailored lessons are $60 for an hour, $45 for a half hour. Usually we don’t need it, but please note that if additional space rental is needed, that will be an extra fee.
