About this pro

Struttin’ With Chalice is a dance class executed in high heels created by Chalice Crawford. The class is designed to encourage Queens and Kings of all levels to feel sexy about themselves as well as execute a workout through dancing. Although heels are strongly encouraged they are never mandatory. Music consist of R&B, Hip Hop, Pop, and reggae.

The confidence students leave with after each session or class makes me enjoy what I do.

The choreography looked difficult and scary in the beginning. However I liked that she broke EVERYTHING down. She encouraged us to ask a lot of questions and she did a good job at answering them.I left class feeling confident about the choreography and myself.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

It is always important to find out what is going on with the students body. I need to know if there are any injuries right away. Next depending on the session or class I would like to know what their goals are. Why are they here? What do they wish to accomplish?

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I received my B.S in Dance from Long Island University in 2014. I have taught dance in schools throughout NYC and Connecticut.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Community classes are held every other Thursday from 8:00pm-9:30pm and cost $10.

One on One sessions are $70 per hour.

Small group sessions with two people are $50 per person per hour.

Small group sessions with three to five people are $30 per perso per hour.

What types of students have you worked with?

Students range in age and experience. I have worked with elementary students to adults in their 40's. Some students have been trained in dance and are professionals while others are not.

*When I worked with children I taught Contemporary, Hip Hop and West African Dance.*
