What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We access the student's skills, level and ability to execute and retain information.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Dancing since age of 10, have trained in ballet, modern, flamenco, hip hop, salsa on 1, salsa/mambo On2, east coast swing, hustle, Tango, acrobatics and more.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

We have a standard pricing system, however it is customized to each request if necessary. (Ex: a private lesson costs the same for everyone, however a person with more booking hours or bringing a friend will get a reduced package price scaled based on hours booked or people taking the lesson)

How did you get started teaching?

In the 8th grade after training for 1.5 years, i became the team leader and in charge of teaching the material to others, it became a passion in the summer of 2000 when i realized the impact dance had on the young kids in the neighborhood.

What types of students have you worked with?

Have worked with ages 4 in pre school and day care settings, and up to elderly in nursing homes.

Have also worked with hyper active, ADHD.  Shy, introverts and outgoing.   Delinquents, foster care and shelter dislocated kids and teens.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

The Brooklyn and New York Salsa congress workshops and shows

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Look for credentials and ask around for references and previous work, look at the dancers the instructor has created and see their success

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

The style they want to learn. How much time are they willing to and are able to commit and what is their end goal.
