About
My name is Jordan Cannata. I have a long history behind a drum set that was molded by relentless passion for music, drumming, and an unwavering thirst to expand upon, and share my knowledge. I have been teaching for playing drums for 22 years and teaching for 5. I studied at Berklee College of Music and maintained a 4.0 GPA before leaving college to pursue musical opportunities that have taken me around the world.
Over the years I have had the privilege to tour and/or record with various artists such as Adrenaline Mob, Stereo Satellite, Sugarmore, Doro, Voices of Extreme, and Dark Sky Choir. With these bands, I have toured the US and Europe, played multiple major festivals and shared the stage with artists such as Bon Jovi, Queensryche, Seether, Stone Sour, In This Moment, Black Label Society, P.O.D., Vince Neil (Motley Crue), Scott Stapp (Creed), Bret Michaels (Poison), Twisted Sister, Filter, Living Colour, Mountain, Saliva, Joe Bonamassa, Johnny Winter, Blue Oyster Cult, and many more. I have recorded drums for artists of all styles including Adrenaline Mob’s “We the People” album which debuted at #2 on the iTunes Metal Chart and #15 on the iTunes Rock Chart. My drum solo video on YouTube has garnered over 5 million views and is still growing.
As a teacher, I focus on the student’s goals. Some students want to create a career in music, some just want to have fun. I take your goals into account and help create a path best suited for you. No two students are the same, and therefore, no two lessons are the same. I teach every genre of music ranging from rock to metal, pop to hip hop, funk to R&B, reggae to jazz. I am a firm believer in learning the fundamentals of drumming in order to give my students a solid foundation which will in turn provide them with the ability to achieve their drumming goals.
I love music. But what I love more is inspiring other people through music. Seeing my students achieve their goals is amazing and I love passing on my passion for drums.

Every student is unique. We all have different influences, different goals, and different tastes. Therefore, my first step is always to get to know my students. I want to make sure that my lessons are not just informative and skill building, but also enjoyable and geared towawrd each individual.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took private drum lessons starting at age 8. I studied all the way through High School and then went to study at Berklee College of Music. I have travelled the world playing to audiences of all sizes from clubs to arenas, recorded for artists of various styles/genres, and taught many students.
