I have been playing the violin for over 15 years. I have thought in the United States as well as in Venezuela for at least two years. I have toured with orchestras from El Sistema of Venezuela in Asia, and I have participated in violin festivals. I am currently in my last year of undergrad in violin performance. I use different technics to teach, depending on what works best for the student. My first language is Spanish, so I would be more than happy to teach Spanish if the person prefers to. I am passionate about teaching students how to use music as a form of self expression. I do this by tailoring my lessons to each student's individual interests. I encourage students to communicate what type of music they are interested in learning during the lessons. Additionally to learning repetoire, I like to begin lessons by reviewing scales and exercises which allow for focusing on techqnique. Hello everyone! I have been a teacher for almost 20 years. For violin, I went to Juilliard Pre-College and studied with Dorothy Delay and Chai Liang and further studies with Michael Stein from Belarus Coservatory. For piano, I studied with Fei-Ping Hsu and Lydia Boguslavsky. I obtained my Master’s Degree in Instrumental Performance at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College. I display a variety of methods in my teaching. Students will learn to read, play with great technique, and most importantly, play music with their own style and creativity.
