Hello! I am an educator and freelance violin teacher offering lessons Forest Hills, NY. I have over 20 years of teaching experience and cater to all ages. I specialize in the Suzuki method, and have completed training in violin books 1 through 8 at NY's premiere Suzuki school, School for Strings. While there, my mentors included Allen Lieb and Ekaterina Gerson. My students have gone on to attend Juilliard pre-college division, play in ensembles such as NJ Youth Symphony, and achieve perfect scores at NYSSMA. Teaching is much more than just mechanical “coaching” of violin playing technology. Every student, even the youngest one, is first of all a person, a musician. And I always tried to treat my students as junior colleagues, not “teaching” them something, but helping them to understand better such an all-encompassing world as music is. That is why the violin teaching system I created is called "Sensible System of Violin Playing". This System includes the experience and best achievements of the practical violin school.

I've been teaching violin, viola, and chamber music in the Manhattan School of Music Precollege Division for over 20 years. I have performed in more than 200 U.S. cities, as well as in Canada, Korea, Austria, France, and Russia, so I know what it takes to be a performer.
