About
We teach all dance genres from hip hop to salsa to kpop to Waltz. Inclusivity is celebrated as we believe dance is a form of expression for all shapes, ages, races, and gender identities and so on and so forth!!
Currently only having one instructor, she has been a self taught dancer for 10+ years and continues to perfect her craft. Dancing is a passionate form of expression and at MHD studios we believe anyone can dance. So long as you put in the effort and really want it, you can achieve anything you set your heart to.
For more information on MHD Studios visit our Facebook page and Instagram. To get in contact with us you may email us at [email protected] or DM us at any of our Social Media networks! Privately hire our instructor, Mileena Santiago, through Indeed.
There is something very rewarding about turning around a "i cant dance" attitude. Dance is for everyone! It makes you feel good. We at MHD studios LOVE to help make people feel like they can do anything!! Learning and growing as a dancer should always feel like a fun and inviting experience.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
One on one lessons typically starts out with a consultation. We first need to know what skill level the student is and what skill level they aspire to be. This helps us assess what is the best way to help you learn and grow!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
our head instructor Mileena, trains through regularly taking dance classes at local studios in the New York area and ocassionally hosts classes and workshops teaching her original material. She stays active uploading to her personal YouTube account, showcasing her choreography as well as other skills.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Standard prices are as follows:
Classes and Workshops - $15 RSVP / $20 Drop in
Sweet Sixteen Courts - Starting at $400 but prices are negotiable
Weddings - Starting at $500 but prices are negotiable
Specialty Choreography - All Prices negotiable
How did you get started teaching?
Beginning in 2011, Mileena's first choreographed piece was for her middle school friends sweet 16 court. Ever since then, and even long before, she had been creating choreographies and teaching with a hunger and a passion to grow and share her creations with others. It wasnt until 2017 that she realized, she also enjoyed and had the patience needed to help those who had the same drive to grow as dancers.
What types of students have you worked with?
MHD Studios caters to all ages, but we've primarily worked with teens and young adults with a passion for hip hop and urban dance.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Mileena's most recent dance class that was choreographed to Jpop group BananaLemon's "Slaysian" was recognized by the group members themselves on Instagram.
She is also very fond of all the Sweet 16 Courts shes worked on in the past and cherishes the bonds shes made with some of her previous and current students!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be prepared to specify your wants and needs and expectations. Carry a positive attitude and put your best foot forward! If you really want something, you have to put in the effort. There is no such thing as "I Can't"!!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are your goals for the end of this lesson, What do you wish to accomplish?
Why, what, who are you doing this for?
What do you hope to take from this experience?
