About
I have been training young actors and singers for over 20 years. Among my former students I have Tony, Oscar, Drama Desk and Jimmy award winners. After having established a stage career in the NYC theater I then began teaching at NYU/Tisch School of the Arts. I now live in Central New York and am on the faculty of both SUNY Cortland and Nazareth College teaching in their musical theater departments.
I take great pride in what I do. I truly enjoy the collaborative process of working with individuals who are looking to improve their skill set, prep for auditions and/or expand their repertoire.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I interview each students to determine their experience and discuss their goals. If I feel we’re a match I make room in my studio to work either in person or remotely in order to prepare them for auditions or simply to hone their skills.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BFA Acting
Master Teacher Certification CAP21/NYU
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I teach a flat fee for each session which is typically an hour. I don’t pro-rate if we happen to go past the scheduled time 😉
How did you get started teaching?
I often had fellow cast members ask for coaching and advice over the years about their voice and in finding material. So much so that I was actually invited to join the faculty at CAP21/NYU where I was among working professionals who taught the craft of theater arts. We were constantly immersed in the art of instruction through master classes and seminars with pedagosists and respected technicians and performers in the New York theater community.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have taught undergraduate musical theater for 25 years and was a pioneer member of Bravo’s Camp Broadway. I also taught at PPAS - a Manhattan performing arts high school. I have conducted master classes across the country and have worked with over 5000 students in my career - among them: Anne Hathaway, Kristen Bell, Matthew Morrison, Lindsay Mendez, Kyle Selig and Ali Stroker. I’ve had over 75 students on Broadway ♥️
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be sure that you’re very clear about what it is you feel you need from a teacher and be open to what they suggest you could benefit from as well. If you don’t like their approach or the information you’re receiving - move on. There are a lot of teachers out there and you truly have to trust this individual with your talents and your eventual livelihood!
