About
I am a director, writer, performer, and educator. I have worked with countless New York theater companies such as the Atlantic Theater Company, Manhattan Theater Club, Naked Angels, The 52nd Street Project, and was an original cast member and co-writer of
C-R-E-P-U-S-C-U-L-E, which evolved into the Tony Award winning 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. My work in television includes appearances on many shows including “Law & Order,” “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” and numerous commercials for burgers, beverages, and gas.
As a founding member of the comedy group, The Bert Fershners, I worked frequently with Comedy Central, creating and performing original content for the channel. We also performed to sold out audiences on stages in New York, throughout the country, and at festivals around the world including HBO’s Aspen Comedy Festival, Montreal's Just for Laughs Festival, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
My career as an author includes my own children’s book series, Super Chicken Nugget Boy, published by Disney/Hyperion.
As an educator, I've taught acting, playwriting, and improvisation for over thirty years, instructing thousands of students and creating curriculums for institutions such as the Yale School of Drama, NYU, The Atlantic Acting School, Lee Strasberg Theater Institute, The New York Film Academy, and the New York City Public School system. I also lead corporate workshops in team-building, interpersonal communication, and public speaking. Clients have included Google, Nike, McDonald's, GE, and hundreds of others.

I love watching my students grow.
I love connecting with my students and supporting them as we dive into the work.
I love getting lost in the work, so that we're surprised when we've reached the end of class because we were so wrapped up in what we were doing.
I love the mechanics of every facet of acting - script analysis, voice, speech, movement, improvisation, finding truthful connections to your character's thoughts and feelings, and connecting with your scene partners.
I love actors.
