My name is Irina Knust. I’m tap dancer/choreographer and teacher for tap dance and piano.
I graduated from University of Culture and Art , Moscow in piano and jazz orchestra conducting.
I studied and worked with legendary tap dancers such as Gregory Hines, Buster Brown, Savion Glover and others and performed on stage and TV in Europe, Russia and the US, and have been teaching tap dance and tap improvisation for over 23 years.
My teaching covers all levels, in group and private lessons.
I love to share my knowledge of tap dance and to see my students grow.

Irina is an extremely talented, patient instructor who takes the time to help you really perfect your technique whether it be for piano instruction or tap dance lessons. Irina is a top notch tap dancer, mentored and trained by Gregory Hines himself. She is also a highly trained classical pianist. She is flexible with scheduling lessons and has reasonable rates for both private and semi-private lessons. I recommend her services since Irina is an absolute pleasure to work with!

Irina is an extremely talented professional. Shes a gifted teacher, and the reason I returned to tap after a long break. Irina continues to inspire me every time we dance together. As a musician, she brings something very unique to tap. Her passion and love for the art comes through in every class.
