Hello There !
I have been in the music business for over 35 years , lived and played and recorded music all over the world. I have been teaching for about the 25 years. I teach all ages from 3-93:))) I love it here in Tampa Bay and have come to live a better life with my wife Ilena. I teach Drum Set , Hand Percussion, Vocals , And Songwriting. I have a Fully equipped home studio and, I can also come to you with the instrument of your choice , set up and play/teach -

They say do what you love, and I love to teach and I'm very passionate about sharing my experience, skill, and knowledge. I have a B.A. in Music from Laguardia College in Long Island City NY.
Equipment : Full P.A. , acoustic and, electric drum sets, hand drum set up-
( Congas,Bongos,Djembe, Dubeks and more . I also have a piano for vocal lessons , and songwriting . I have written hundreds of songs ( Check links for access to my music ) . It is also possible that I come to you with any of this equipment as well. Just let me know if that is what need and we will discuss it.

I have played on over 25 records , and have had my music and drumming appear on NYC, Californian, and European Television & Radio programs . I have music up on platforms on iTunes, Spotify, and more. I have played and/or recorded with Grammy Award Winning Artists and worked with some of the best musicians and engineers in the business

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Get to know where they are at physically and where there abilities are strongest and start from there. Its got to be fun too . If you have fun while learning I believe you will learn more and stay with it. I've had students for as long as 5 years

How did you get started teaching?
There is an International School Of Prague in Czech Republic
I was hired to teach drum rudiments to after school band kids
That then led to a few private students and just blossomed from there

To - Absolute beginners ! There is always something I can teach and there is always something I can learn from each student!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am fond of so many events I was part of. One of remeberence was when I played at a festival in NY and got to play with Tito Puente Jr -it was a big honor for me to play with the son of The Master Tito Puente!
I have recently been performing at clubs like The Floridian in St Petersburg Fla and The East End Tap House In Gulfport where I now have a monthly residency as The Band Leader! .
Humbling as well .
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Hire someone who can help you grow at your own pace but still inspire you to go further - Lee
