About
Coach Knoch just completed his 19th year as the Head Coach of the Perry Boys Tennis Team and is also the Head Coach for the Girls Team the last 17 years. Kevin grew up in the Perry School District, graduating in 1982 from Perry High School. He then went on to Baldwin-Wallace College, graduating in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree from the Sport Management Program. Kevin played collegiate tennis at B.W., where he was a 4-year letterman and co-captain.While in college, Kevin became the assistant coach for Perry Girls Tennis under the guidance of head coach, Bob Bird. During the six years he coached at Perry, the girls team won the 1988 Federal League championship and qualified various players to the state tennis tournament with a 2nd place and 3rd place finish among the highlights. In 2007 Coach Knoch was named head coach for the Girls Tennis Team as well. In 1986, Kevin began his professional teaching career as the assistant pro at Shady Hollow Country Club. The following year, he took over as head tennis pro at Skyland Pines Swim and Tennis Club. From 1999-2004, Kevin was the head coach for the men’s and women’s tennis teams at Malone College, qualifying teams for post-season play each year. Kevin is in his 30th year as staff professional at the Hall of Fame Fitness Center. He is a resident of Perry Township and has a daughter, Brittany, who graduated from Perry High School.
I enjoy helping people reach for their best and become better tennis players. Tennis truly is a sport for a lifetime and I enjoy working with all kinds of players.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a PTR Certified Teaching Pro who is also a high school coach. I specialize in working with high school students as well as players who are 10 & under in age.
How did you get started teaching?
I started as an assistant coach at Perry High School in 1985 and within 2 years became the Director of Tennis and Head Pro at a local Tennis Club.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with players of all ages and abilities. I enjoy working with Beginners and Advanced players equally. I've had the privilege to work with many District, Sectional, and Nationally ranked players.
