Anyone can do "reality" TV. But if you want to learn what acting is, how to immerse yourself in a role, find your character, and open your emotional and character range, you want to study with LK Acting. Lori Kirstein (that's me) is a SAG-AFTRA Union actress, singer, and creator of Acting for Singers workshops. I use your personality to teach you how to access your acting chops, how to deeply understand a script's emotional interconnections and demands, and how to help you meet those demands joyously and with commitment.
Nothing is more freeing than being able to live out loud - to be authentic, to respond with a kind of abandon. So when I work with someone and I help them understand a script, and I help them walk into their own natural self-expression, and I watch them walk into freedom, and I see the joy and wonder and empowerment on their face, it is a marvelous thing to know that I have just watched someone change their life. Whether it is because they will become an actor, or because they will become more of who they naturally are doesn't matter. Teaching is a gorgeous experience. I am as taught by my students as they are taught by me.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
A new student can count on being made to feel comfortable. I know first-hand what it takes to make yourself vulnerable to your own self, and to others through stage work. So I find oit what your goals are and then I craft a lesson plan that works best for what you want to achieve. We talk about this to be sure we are in alignment, too!
