Voice Lessons With Tori Adams
About
I am a graduate student at the University of Cincinnati pursuing my Master of Music degree in Opera. I have 8+ years of experience with classical voice and have a background in musical theater. My goals for my students are to improve their singing technique and expression in enjoyable and engaging ways! I cater to each individual's needs and love getting to know my students and their unique voices.
I have enjoyed my singing journey so much throughout my entire life. I have learned so much about the voice and the joy of singing and love to pass on what I've learned to other singers, beginners or otherwise.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For the first lesson I like to take some time to get to know you, chat about your goals, and do some singing. I offer 30 min, 45 min, and 1 hour lessons. We will spend part of that time doing warmups and exercises and part of it singing your pieces.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I began performing in musical theater at the age of 10, started voice lessons at 13, then began classical voice study and performing in operas at age 14 while continuing to perform in musicals as well. I received my Bachelor of Music in vocal performance from Oberling Conservatory of Music and am pursuing my Master of Music at Unicersity of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music. I have studied vocal pedagogy and have teaching experience as well.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
For a 30 minute lesson, $20
For a 45 minute lesson, $35
For an hour lesson, $45
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching after a vocal pedagogy class made me realize I have a passion for teaching.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
When shopping for a voice teacher, you should look for someone you feel comfortable enough with to explore and make some mistakes along the way. Someone who enhances your love of singing instead of making it a chore. And someone who says things that make sense to you!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I will ask you about your goals for taking lessons and what kind of music you like to sing.
