About

I am a professional actor and director in the Columbus area. I graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Theatre with Honors and Distinction. I am an Ensemble member with Actors' Theatre of Columbus and work as both their Outreach Coordinator and Movement Coach. I have performed on the Schiller Park Stage as part of my work with Actors' Theatre for over a decade.

I also work with Columbus Children's Theatre (CCT) as one of the Advanced Performance Academy instructors. I have acted and directed with CCT in addition to teaching Academy classes.

As an acting coach I work with students who want ongoing acting lessons, people who want to learn about Shakespeare, as well as individuals just looking for a one time meeting to finalize an audition.

I began working with Beth to prepare for my first professional audition, and found her extremely helpful. She helped me choose and prepare suitable monologues, and guided me through the finer points of auditioning, providing frank and useful advice and instruction. I would highly recommend Beth to anyone looking for an acting teacher, especially for Shakespeare/Classical theatre and movement training.

Beth is a wonderful source of knowledge and information for the stage. She takes into cosideration your style and helps you polish and fine-tune your craft and will have you ready for any style of audition.

    Frequently asked questions

Typically I will meet with a new student to find out what their goals are and whether or not I would be a good match for them to accomplish those goals.

I have a degree in Theatre from The Ohio State University.  I graduated with Honors and Distinction.

    Yes.  I charge $50/hour for a lesson.

I began offering private lessons when I had a friend whose daughter wanted to audition for her school play but was afraid to try out.  I met with her daughter to help her prepare for the audition and she got cast!

I have worked with students ranging from middle school to adults.  Some of the people I have worked with have never done any acting previously while others act often in the community and come to me to either improve a certain skill or to get a second set of eyes on a monologue prior to an upcoming audition.

Find an acting coach that you like.  Acting can be an intimidating process to start and you want to work with someone who you can trust.
