Patrick Ploenzke

Hello, I am Patrick Ploenzke. I am a high school science teacher by day and love to teach my passion which is drums. I teach beginner to intermediate drums and my teaching focuses on the fundamentals of drum technique. I believe a solid foundation of technique will allow the student to grow on their own when they have learned what they want from an instructor. Based on initial interview with student I will make a recommendation as to what instructional materials will be utilized during instruction. I insist that drum kit players also have rudimental knowledge and be able to use both matchstick and traditional grip. All students should have Dr. Throwdowns Rudimental Remedies book, sticks and a practice pad. Yes, drum kit players need a practice pad. Learning drums as with all instruments is a lifelong learning process, and after 40 years of drumming I am still learning, and I look forward to learning with you.
