Nothing pleases me more than seeing a student reach a personal goal and when their face lights up when they do so. Young a old this is a big thrill for me.
It's joyful for me to think about the fact that I am a licensed music educator and teach students pre-K through 12 as well as being a college professor teaching 20 somethings to enjoy jazz and contemporary voice singing. When a student reaches a goal it's thrills me to no end. What do they wanna make a career out of making music or just do it for their own personal satisfaction. This is a joy for me.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My approaches to first find out the students skill sets so that I can meet them where they're at. Tested prior knowledge so that the lesson is cultivated towards their needs
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in journalism as well as music education with a minor in education and I am licensed pre-K through 12th grade music. I am the jazz and contemporary Vocal professor at Kent state university as well.
