Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We like to start with a (Consultation Lesson) which is 30 Minutes long and within that short period of time we can evaluate your skill level and your learning style. Even if someone has no dance experience we are positive we can get them dancing in no time!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have both trained with several past and current champions in Latin, Ballroom, Smooth, Rhythm and Exhibition. We have been so fortunate and blessed to work with True Titans in this field of dance!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Our pricing is discussed right after the consultation lesson. The reason for this is because of the unique needs of each individual client. Wether it be finacial, time constraints or level of desire all these factors we take into consideration when we speak with our students one on one and try our best to be flexible with them.
How did you get started teaching?
Brandon: Wanted a summer job that wasn't typical of someone in their teens. Started as a trainee at my Aunts dance studio in Florida and got swept up in this amazing life of dance!
Chelsea: This girl was dancing in the Womb :) She started as a student and quickly decided to pursue the professional career path. It didn't take long for Brandon and Chelsea to start dancing together and that not only lead to a partnership but a loving marriage as well.
What types of students have you worked with?
Literally students of all ages! from 5 years of age to 82 being our oldest student and she could tear it up! The level of dancers we work with is Absolute (never danced a step in their life's) to coaching other professionals in our field, training them not only how to teach and set goals for their students but how to pursue thier professional dreams as well.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The most recent event is being Invited to the Blackpool World Dance Festival in England. This event is special because it is a milestone in our competitive careers. They only invite 8 Couples a year from around the globe to go and compete in this division and we are proud to say we have been invited twice! We have placed 7th and 4th so needless to say we were happy with our performances.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Dancing is one of the most enriching hobbies and passions on the PLANET! Which means if you are not having fun then you are not with the right teacher. We teach others the way we ourselves like to be taught by our coaches. With respect, a light heart and attention to detail.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
We always appreciate when students come to us with ideas. Maybe a song or even a dance video that inspires you and then we can really make magic happen because we know what it is that motivates you!
