I have been playing drums since the age of 8. Currently I teach private lessons to children as young as 5 years old. I strive to assist my students in having a fun yet structured lesson.
I have been percussion instructors for two different schools and enjoy working with all ages as well as beginner to advanced.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Begin to show the student the different types of the instrument and have them understand what their names are.
Depending on their age also helps with me with developing a process to work with them.

How did you get started teaching?
I was asked to come and work with a high school band after the director saw me play for a local ensemble. I love teaching and seeing the progress the student makes! I am a very positive instructor.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages as well as with some with ADHD, anxiety, and Autism.

Seniors from the graduating class coming to the games to thank me for all that I did for them and what I taught them.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who is going to build you up!
