About

As a kid, I was always trying to get some sort of rhythm going on anything I could put my hands on, on the kitchen table, countertop, desktop, buckets, pots and pan, you name it.

I was always intrigued by music but especially the aspect of rhythm. I constantly found myself day dreaming of one day playing a real drumset and hopefully perform infront of an audience.

Well, I have to say that I got much more than that. Coming from the beautiful island of Aruba, music made it possible for me to experience greater things than just performing for an audience.

Through my musical journey I have been able to meet great people along the way, the opportunity travel to see new places, expand my musical knowledge but above all, music has made me a better person and the feeling of being able to share the gift of music with others is one of the things that I am most grateful for.

I’ve been playing the drums and othe percussion instruments for close to 15 years now and I’ve been teaching for the past three years.

I have a Masters Degree in Jazz Studies from University of Central Oklahoma and a Bachelor Degree in Music Performance from The Conservatory of Rotterdam (The Netherlands).

Coupled with that I am working musicians that performs on the weekly basis.

“Drums are fun”

-Bremo

As an educator I enjoy the process of helping individuals reach their goals, might it be a musical one or just for fun.

I’ve learned so much through the process of teaching, and the more I do it, the better I understand how important learning a musical instrument is for an individual. I love the journey of starting a student from the most basic aspect of drumming and gradually witness the progress that at times the student won’t even notice.

Because I teach, I’m also a student and therefore keep myself updated with what’s happening in the drumming community.

I believe that in order to be a great teacher, one has to strive to first be a great student.
