Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first thing we will do is establish the student's goals, meeting them where their at no matter the experience level, and determining the best path forward with plans that work for them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have two masters degrees in Percussion Performance and Music Composition from Oklahoma City University and two masters degrees in the same disciplines from OCU as well. I have been playing for over 15 years and have been teaching for over 8 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lessons will be $50 per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching my senior year of high school, with a couple students that wanted to learn drums for school. Eventually I decided that teching was my passion, and focused all of my energy in school on developing methods for all things percussion, and writing solos and etudes for my students using my composition training.
