About
I gently teach beginners how to play four unusual instruments: The THEREMIN, the MUSICAL SAW, and the HARMONICA are played by ear, and I also teach ACCORDION. I host a musical jam for students to participate in twice per month. I am president of several local music clubs, but the instruments I teach to beginners do not require previous musical background. For a while I had a teaching room at our city's well known music store, but now we can work in my home music room or you can learn online if you live far away. If you do not have an instrument, use one of mine during the lesson (except harmonica).
I break an instruction down into itty bitty pieces so that even the budding musician can clearly grasp it.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I find out what kind of music the student likes, and what his purpose is in learning. I give encouragement that he can learn no matter what age or previous experience.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm in three or more ensembles or music practice groups. I perform in local senior variety shows. I play in a local band and practice with several others.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$25 per lesson
How did you get started teaching?
I like to encourage my friends and visitors to try various instruments of mine.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I put on a theremin display September 28, 2019, at the Science Museum Oklahoma. Many children and adults lined up to try out the three theremins that were displayed. Each theremin had an attendant, and hundreds tried out the instruments that day.
