    Frequently asked questions

The first class is usually an evaluation of the dancers to determine specific regiments and outlined plans based on dancers’ availability, current skills & level, and overall goal and mission. It’s important that the dancers themselves personally have a purpose without others being persuasive.

Next step, I always incorporate their specific regiments with improv, and movement & learning repertoire. With the incorporation they will be able gasping new choreograph and skills regardless if dance style, instructor, or learning method is new for that dancer.

Hire a teacher who is not only versatile but also open-minded & has a wide sight in life. It’s inportant for teachers to prep students for reality and not “sugar coat” expectations as you have to earn your title vs be given. Life is a competition and you must be aware of it.

Overall, have a teacher that’s willing to invest in your life & career.

    * Long-Term Goals (career-wise or even specific need)

    * Artistic Growth (how will they develop you to grow mentally and intellectually as a dancer than only physically)

    * Network (With the skills being taught, what’s range of network or connections will you been able to obtain)

    * Alternative Pathways (In conjunction to Long-Term Goals, what’s plan B in case plan A fails or if unexpected circumstances occur? Also what other opportunities can be obtained than the obvious pathway)
