I offer private one on one Shakespeare intensives online and private coaching, I also teach online classes to students and actors in rehearsal. My technique is based on the Royal Shakespeare Company's technique developed by John Barton and my own, having been the artistic director of 5 classical theatre companies. I have directed and taught students from all over the world. This course would normally take a year to master but I can, within a short amount of time, have students not just understanding how to unpack the text witn ease but to playing Shakespeare with skill and confidence.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
This one on one intensive is the equivalent of studying for a year at Royal Shakespeare Company or RADA in London at a fraction of the cost. This is the training that the British actors we admire receive and it is rarely taught in the USA. I first assess your training and then after that you will receive my workbook and you will find out how incredibly easy it is to play Shakespeare. You will learn how to find the clues Shakespeare embedded in his text to help the actor unpack it and get right to the heart of it so you can play it with total confidence and understanding. I also will help you to choose a speech that is perfect for you and one that is unique to your type and age and level and we will work on it together so you will have an audition speech that shows off those skills and helps to get you the job or the admittance to the college or acting school of your dreams. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
RSC classical training and 35 years as a professional theatre artist specializing in Shakespeare and classical material. I am an award-winning director and actor and have been the Artistic Director of 5 classical theatre companies. I have taught at the Lee Strasberg Studios and Theater Arts studio in Los Angeles and at the Portland Conservatory. I attended California State University, New York Academy of Dramatic Arts and BADA in Oxford, England.

$100 per hour for coaching audition speeches
$1200 for the 10 (one one one) two-hour sessions online.
$1000- In person, if you are in the Portland area, the intensive will consist of 7 four-hour sessions.
How did you get started teaching?
I developed the classical program at the Lee Strasberg Studios and at Theatre Arts in Los Angeles in 1998. I have been privately teaching my Fear of Shakespeare for 20 years and have taught students from all over the world.
