About
Welcome to the wonderful world of dance!
I have been teaching dance in Portland since 2007 with my business partner Uwe. We currently teach lessons Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at the beautiful Laurelhurst Club in SE Portland. Our classes vary from Swing, Waltz, Cha Cha, Salsa, Nightclub 2-Step, and Foxtrot and are offered in 6-week sessions. Please check our website, connecttodance.com, for the current offerings. It is our great joy to introduce you to the fun of dancing and a wonderful community of dancers! Come test-drive the first night. We're pretty sure you'll be hooked.
I also offer private lessons if you are interested in learning or perfecting your dancing skills. Contact me for available times at [email protected]

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I work with students in two ways:
1. Private lessons. We usually meet at the Polish Library in north Portland, most often on Thursdays, Fridays or weekends when the hall is available. The lessons are generally 60 minutes and can be for an individual or a couple. Occaseionally I have peopel ask for a lesson with friends so we have have a small group of four people. Lessons are $75/ hour for 1-2 people, $15/ additional person.
2. Wonderful group classes! Uwe and I teach at the Laurelhurst Club on Monday nights and at the Polish Library on Tuesday nights. Please check the class offerings at our ConnecttoDance.com website to see the current classes. The sessions last 6 weekes and usually cost about $90-$100/session, depending on the legnth of class. These are super fun classes of wonderful people who have been dancing with us for year. An absolutley deligtful community!!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Peope ask me and all I can say is that my mom said, "You came into the world dancing!"
Family dancing as I grew up, high school dance team, ballet and tap classes and basically an affinity for dancing and a willingness to try anything once.
Uwe started dancing as a teen in Germany and then continued when he came to the United States for school in his early twenties. He has been teaching dance for 20+ years as a side profession. He is truly an artist when it comes to dancing and creates beautiful moves each week.
