About this pro

Hi I'm a working artist with a BA in Visual Communications from Loyola University. I am the artist in residence for Current Theatrics out of Vegas and have worked as a photographer, graphic designer, web designer, set designer, prop master.

I have experience running classes for both adults and kids. I've also served as an art teacher for a home schooling program.

I'm a member of The Oregon Council for Art Education.

I love making art accessible to everyone. Part of what I love about what I do is meeting new people and helping them get in touch with the artist that lives within them. Many people think they're "not good at art" but my philosophy is that you can be good at art as long as it makes you feel something while or after you do it. If you enjoy it, that's good enough!

    She’s an easy-going, knowledgeable teacher.

Teri is fantastic with my severely ADHD daughter, and she can easily shift gears if it's clear that my girl is losing track of things. Teri's able to gear the lessons to each child's interest, while still teaching art techniques and includes a dose of art history when it fits in smoothly. She will tailor to whatever you want her to focus on, but she still comes to the lesson with the thoughtfulness and authority necessary to handle a class of any age, or any number. She's my first choice, hands down!

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

For the initial session I provide materials and give recommendations for materials. Typically I use the first class to assess skill levels and what type of art instruction you need. That doesn’t mean that we don’t do any art in the first session; it just means that we do art and using that first piece I decide our starting point.
