I believe that each student has an individual way of learning, so I'm passionate about finding the right way to tailor my lessons to maximize my student's learning. My experience has also been in a variety of styles ranging from Classical to Celtic to Jazz and more, which means I'm sure to be able to help you learn what you love!

Jake Shim gained international recognition most recently winning 1st Prize and Bach Prize at the 2020 Stulberg International String Competition in Michigan, United States. After winning a prize at the 2020 Irving M. Klein International String Competition in San Francisco, United States and at the 2020 J. S. Bach Competition, Jake won a ‘Isang Yun Prize’ at the 2024 Isang Yun International Violin Competition. Hello! My name is Madeline, and I have been teaching piano for 6 years, starting when I was around 14 with beginner piano students. Now, I teach from beginning to late-intermediate levels, from ages 5 to adult. I follow a classical curriculum as the foundation for my students, but am happy when my students wish to expand to genres such as jazz, pop, folk, etc. I absolutely love music.
