I have 3 years experience as a piano teacher and studied for 4 years at an arts magnet school with 3 years in the piano honors program. My strongest skill has always been feeling the music. With an understanding of music theory, ear training, rhythm, and composition, I can instill knowledge and love for music into you/your child.

Jake Shim gained international recognition most recently winning 1st Prize and Bach Prize at the 2020 Stulberg International String Competition in Michigan, United States. After winning a prize at the 2020 Irving M. Klein International String Competition in San Francisco, United States and at the 2020 J. S. Bach Competition, Jake won a ‘Isang Yun Prize’ at the 2024 Isang Yun International Violin Competition. In the upcoming season, Jake will make his debut as a soloist with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra. Hello! My name is Madeline, and I have been teaching piano for 6 years, starting when I was around 14 with beginner piano students. Now, I teach from beginning to late-intermediate levels, from ages 5 to adult.
