Jake Shim gained international recognition most recently winning 1st Prize and Bach Prize at the 2020 Stulberg International String Competition in Michigan, United States. After winning a prize at the 2020 Irving M. Klein International String Competition in San Francisco, United States and at the 2020 J. S. Bach Competition, Jake won a ‘Isang Yun Prize’ at the 2024 Isang Yun International Violin Competition. I'm a guitarist, composer, and instructor with 10+ years of experience. While I specialize in rock/metal styles, I'm also comfortable in jazz, electronic and orchestral settings.
