Jake Shim gained international recognition most recently winning 1st Prize and Bach Prize at the 2020 Stulberg International String Competition in Michigan, United States. After winning a prize at the 2020 Irving M. Klein International String Competition in San Francisco, United States and at the 2020 J. S. Bach Competition, Jake won a ‘Isang Yun Prize’ at the 2024 Isang Yun International Violin Competition.
