About
I work at the pace of the student. I evaluate what kind of learner they are in order to adjust my teaching style to their needs. It's important to make sure we are comfortable with the way we learn during a lesson!
I enjoy watching my students' knowledge grow on the language we are learning! It's eye opening to reflect on where we started and where we ended up!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I love starting with the Spanish/English alaphabet and basic greetings!
It's good to introduce conversation early on along with the alphabet. This gives the student a few new sentences to be able to start using in day to day conversation with other Spanish/English speakers, whether it is with a friend, family member, or if you so happen to be ordering at a restaurant! It's exciting to be able to have a conversation with others in a different language!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a fluent Spanish speaker and my roots are from Puerto Rico and Spain. I grew up speaking Spanish with my family ever since I was born and I believe Spanish is a beautiful language that ables an individual to express themselves in a unique way! I will show you how Spanish/English culture functions along with the Spanish/English lanuage so one can fully understand how certain phrases, emotions, and nuances correlate with the procces of speaking the lanuage. I am currently in the process of receiving my bachelor in Music Education and Performance. I have taught music for many years and for much of my time teaching it has included the utilization of Spanish. I have also translated English sermons into Spanish at my church. I've done lots of volunteer community work that involved talking to Spanish speakers within the community.

How did you get started teaching?
At a very young age, I had many fellow young peers in school who had struggeld with Spanish. Fortunately for them, I was able to tutor them and help them pass all of their assighnments! It is a great honor to share my knowledge with others in order to pursue life changing excellence. Also, while I was doing volunteer work, with my church I helped many youth groups learn Spanish and I also helped others in our church with English. It is a great advantage to know English and Spanish well becuase it makes teaching Spanish to English Speakers faster and effective.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students who were semi fluent and those who knew absolutely no Spanish at all.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I tutored a collegue who was taking a Spanish speaking course. They had initially struggled and in the end they were able to pass the class with honors!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone kind who loves helping through their teaching and most importantly, find a teacher that is not in the business of teaching for passionless reasons. A teacher should be committed to their student.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are your goals so that I can help you execute each one.
