Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We get on the phone, with no camera for introductions. Then we jump on camera for the work, exercises, and skill practice.
Please have a GOAL LIST when we work together. Even a favorite YouTube link so we can have the same vision.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I currently work in many schools and a few summer camps and workshops for the Pittsburgh Cultural trust.
I recently completed the Summer Boost Program with Attack Theatre and Pittsburgh Public Schools.
I have great experiences acting with Pittsburgh Playwrights theatre Company
I'm currently working with City Theatre
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My class is $50 an hour over video phone and if we go over time by 10 -15 minutes there is no charge. We will definitely have a breakthrough and schedule multiple sessions at a discounted rate if we find we are a match for a $275 six session package.
How did you get started teaching?
I started individual coaching sessions when individual students requested time after class to go over their pieces. Performance poetry competitions and acting auditions were great ways to prepare students and adults alike.
What types of students have you worked with?
My students are aspiring actors, dancers, and performers of all kinds. Apology is the most individualized support I can offer because it is the exploration and presentation of original work.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently I worked with Lincoln Park School in Midland PA where one of my coaching students received a silver scholarship award for her original piece. She is going into 10th grade and she was excited to work with me after a school visitation I did. She sent a perfect email and we connected as often as needed up until the competition.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

If by chance you have no idea where to begin please be open to imagining different career avenues for yourself. Whichever teacher you choose will meet you right where you are in your process.
