About
Argentine Tango classes and dances:
Providence Tango is a community of local dancers who collaboratively run the organization and hire great teachers. We are thrilled to be working currently with Angeles Chanaha (Argentina) and Kristian Velazquez (Uruguay). We offer classes every Friday followed by a practica. We also offer "Bootcamps" for beginners, occasional special topic classes and milongas.
For a full schedule and more information: www.providencetango.com and you can also find us on facebook.
Angeles and Kristian have infectious smiles and a great passion for tango. They are patient and extremely knowledgeable about the dance and music of Argentine Tango. Their love of tango and teaching are evident every week.
Angeles and Kristian world travelers and teachers, have successfully competed and have worked with tango "greats" around the US and abroad. They are, however, down to earth and humble and delightful to be around.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
New students are welcome to begin at any time, but we offer a 6 week beginner series. Private lessons are also available and can be arranged with the instructors, usually for a Friday before group classes start.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$20 for one class and practice time
$25 for both classes in an evening (intermediate and beginner level) includes practice time.
$5 for just the practice time
On occasion, we offer a milonga (tango dance party) instead of a practice. That will be a longer evening and will cost a little more.
