Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For one-on-one sessions with a beginner I mainly focus on technique with an emphasis on keeping things fun yet productive. For intermediate and advanced players, I may use a combination of ball-feeding drills and live hitting drills. Lessons are customized to fit the player's needs. Whether it is learning the game for the first time or searching for a competitive hitting partner, I am flexible and able to accomodate every type of tennis player in ways that take their game to the next level.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a former Division 1 NCAA tennis player who played for Wofford College. By my senior year, I had become team captain and alternated between #1 and #2 singles and I played #2 doubles. Prior to college, I was ranked #2 in the state of Georgia.
I over 10 years of experience coaching other tennis players ranging from the most amateur of children and adults to the most advanced players looking to make it professionally. Some of my junior students have gone on to earn college scholarships. And as far as age goes, I have coached players as young as 4 years old and as old as 74 years old.
