Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My process with working with new a new student is establishing a goal/purpose while developing a fun atmosphere with no added pressure. As a coach/teacher, I must first know how you move as well as how comfortable are you with yourself. Taking risk is the first step of reaching your potential. Also knowing how commited a student is to the process and understanding it will time and effort, helps the lesson go by quickly and makes it fun.

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching when I was younger. I would learn dances from music videos and teach my friends the dance movements.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students who have never danced before to professionally trained dancers. I also have would with older adults.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My students presented my Modern dance to a Dance Competition and received OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE as well as PLATINUM STATUS!! I was so happy to know that they believed in my dance I choreographed for them and the waanted to do something unconvetional.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure this something you would like to try. Everyone teaches differently, so come with an open mind and heart. Also be honest with yourself as well as the teacher you choose.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Is this something they really want to do, and not forced to do? What specifically would they like to learn such as, genre/style of dance? Also, are they ready to be worked physcially, emotionally, and mentally? Are they willing to open themselves to a new experience?
