About this pro

I have been teaching drums since the age of 13, although it was just a local friend who would pay me in YU-GI-OH cards, but I have not stopped since. I have now written a published drum book, played to crowds of thousands at places like Red Rocks and Folsom Field, and I am still fortunate enough to still pursue my passion.

I have taught students from all around the world, from all skill levels, and all ages.

***Along with my 1 on 1 lessons, I offer email lessons to follow up with and keep my students on task. The email lessons come with •video •audio downloads •and notation all customized for you. You can look more into these at TFdrums.com ***

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I meet with my students monthly for a few reasons. I have taught long enough to know that weekly lessons don't allow enough time for the student to keep up with the material. I give them WEEKLY EMAIL LESSONS instead. This way they are able to stay on task and stay focused on the right material.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been fortunate enough to study with the greats! I am a former student of many teachers, one of the bigger names being Gordy Knudtson (Steve Miller Band), and I have played and studied all styles!

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

• 1 on 1 lessons + Email Lessons *** $100 a Month***

 • Email Lessons *** $45 a Month ***

How did you get started teaching?

When I was 13 I began to teach my friends and neighbors because I was the new cool kid on the block with the fresh red Tama stage star drum kit. I realized how much I liked seeing those moments when something would click in a student's head and they would be able to play something new, and I have been teaching since!

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with 5-year-old kids to 70-year-old adults, touring artists to first-day drummers. All styles are welcome!

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

The best teachers are the ones that have a clear understanding of YOUR goals and know how to best improve on your strengths.
