Through the intense scene study actors will begin to develop a strong sense of confidence in making appropriate choices in their auditions. You will develop the skill set of how to listen to direction given and then make "quick" adjustments in auditions.The goal of this class is to help the actor find his/her confidence and inner acting instinct to tackle script/scene work, all of which aid in being a better auditioner. In addition to that you will grow to become comfortable with the actual casting process.Topics covered:
-Developing a strong auditioning ethic
-Cold Reading (accessing the content of the scene)
-Prepared Reading
-Homework will be assigned
-Taking Direction and Redirection (learn how to LISTEN and not be shaken by redirection)
-How to prepare for Call Backs/Producer Sessions
-Learning to identify your "Type"
