About
The Plano Dance Theatre is your one stop shop for all things performing arts! Dance, Acrobatics, Acting, Singing, Musical Theater and more!
At PDT we put our students first. Students learn at different paces because everyone has a different mind and different body type. We use this to build our student's ability to work hard for what they want, to gain a genuine sense of accomplishment and self worth. We make sure everyone knows that with hard work, dreams can be acheived! We thrive off of the joy our students gain from their successes.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We have the student take a free trial, evaluate their skill level and place them accordingly.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our instructors are all professionally trained. Full biographies can be found on our website.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Tuition is monthly based on the number of classes per week.
How did you get started teaching?
we are a family owned business and we have been training throughout our lives.
What types of students have you worked with?
All students, all ages and abilities.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Dance training is not something to be taken lightly. If a child is improperly trained they can develop serious long term injuries. Professional schools will not put primary focus on winning trophies, but rather on proper technique and training for the individual dancer. Look for dress code, structure in levels, a variety in performance opportunities and instructors that are firm in corrections, respect, punctuality and professionalism.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students need to understand that learning dance is a process and does not give immediate results. Their needs will always be individual and will require patience, diligence, and an extraordinary amount of hard work.
