What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The student is introduced to the Actor's Quartet and C.O.R.E.S. The student is also introduced to the Four Levels of Competency.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master of Fine Art in Acting from The Academy of Art University School of Acting in San Francisco. I have thirty years experience as an actor on stage, television and film.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$60.00 per session for adults (2 hours) and $40.00 per session for minors 10 to 18 years old (1 hour).
How did you get started teaching?
I have seven years experience in public primary and secondary education and four years college and university education. After graduate school I had the credentials to teach my first passion, acting.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with primary, secondary, and college/university students. I am currently an Adjunct Professor at Brookhaven College and have taught at the University of North Texas.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I enjoy seeing my students making noticable improvement in their acting skills. They always improve.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be open to new ideas when it comes to the craft of acting. The actor pushes oneself outside their comfort zone. Empty your cup.
