Hi! Dance has been a passion of mine for more than 35 years. I have a B.F.A. in Dance from Southern Methodist University and a M.Ed. in Education Administration from Lamar University. My interest in sharing my love of dance with others began over 20 years ago. I love working with all ages and abilities. Please visit my Linkedin profile at www.linkedin.com/in/marissa-marez
Dance can be for.... fun, fitness, reducing tension, increasing flexibility, increasing mental cognition, and so much more!
Marissa is an excellent teacher and amazing person. I have taken both private lessons and group classes with her and always enjoy her teaching style. Marissa is patient with new beginners and gently walks you through each step and is equally excellent with advanced students. She makes dance a fun and learning experience and helps you improve with each time she works with you. Marissa has a great personality and excellent teacher for all ages. I highly recommend Dallas Art of Dance.
Marissa is a very knowledgeable teacher who takes the time to get to know her students and instructs them based on their skill level.
I loved the vast knowledge of not only the moves, but the history of the dance. Marissa became a friend because of how much time we got to spend together. I came to each class genuinely excited and left class excited for the next lesson. It was a great workout and also helped me with posture and grace. I only took a break because I had a baby but think about going back into ballet because of my amazing experience with Dallas Art of Dance!
New student's initial class consists of
1. Introductions to understand the student and teacher's goals and purposes.
2. Class to evaluate skills
