What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with ages 18 months old to 118 years old. Current and previous students have been of all sorts of backgrounds and abilities.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Three recent events I am fond of is the opportunity my students were given when requested to perform live for the World Championships of Roller Derby. Actors and dancers were given the chance to perform live in front of an audience from across the globe. Another event I am fond of is my students having the chance to perform as apart of Cirque Du Soleil's VIP Kooza. Lastly, I am always fond of my dancers who graduate high school and reach their dream of attending college on a full scholarship for dance. Oh, and I will through in a bonus fond memory or two. Cosmo students being features in reoccurring acting and dance roles in a Roku original TV series that aired in 2019, and when our competition team one 1st overall qualifying for National and received an invite-only trip to NY to dance among the best 150 young dancers in the USA.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would say make sure you find someone who can handle your dreams and goals with the same care they do their own. Someone who can push you to the next level.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should analyze just how much time and sweat they are willing to put into achieving their goals.
