My biggest satisfaction when I teach is to see the student improvement.I always help the students to archive their goals,with a teaching method that will make them understand the instrument in a better way, and how to understand the different styles of music,and how to play them.I have been teaching for 35 years from beginner to advanced level in all styles of music.I studied music in Cuba with the most known internationally drum and percussion instructors .I studied in the prestigious Advanced Professional School of Music Ignacio Cervantes.Some of my videos can be found on Facebook under Perdomodrummer.

I can’t say enough about my time studying with Perdomo. I was in my early 20’s and had spent my life up to that point studying classical percussion. I wanted to learn how to formally play the drum kit, but I had no idea where to start. Perdomo opened that world up for me. He rebuilt me from the ground up, adjusting my technique to work on the drum kit, helping me with independence, and expanding my knowledge of grooves, music, and drum kit chart reading. Eventually, we started diving into the complex rhythmic structures and grooves of Afro-Cuban music, and I even spent time with him developing some basic conga technique.

The most important thing that I took away from my time with Perdomo was this; he didn’t just show me what to practice. He taught me HOW to practice. While I haven’t studied with him in a little while, he gave me the tools to be able to help myself in any musical situation that I find myself in. I’m now a first call sub drummer for Broadway’s Hamilton and have performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. I owe a huge amount of that Perdomo, and will always be grateful for my time with him.

I usually try to see first if the student is completely a beginner or has some knowledge making an evaluation,and then I decide from where to start.

They usually pay one deposit lesson plus the first lesson.
