About

Houston Healthy Hip-Hop is expanding by creating new ideas for educating students. Our direction is to build a variety of original programs that can be fun, creative, and educational. The programs will provide the students with the tools, techniques, and instructions on how to professionally execute huge projects. Step by step planning will be initiated at the start of the program so the students can begin to think before acting on an idea or an expression. The programs are specifically designed to inform and encourage the youth to embrace, self-expression, health awareness, and the arts.

Our mission is to enlighten the youth through dance, music, and Performing arts. Manifesting and creating the student's ideas will push and encourage the students for future projects in life. We believe that kids should appreciate progress, teamwork, and hard work. Creative minds will embed the formula of success and drive into the student's train of thought. Passion and confidence are what we strive for so the future can be led by the heart of a child and the mind of a leader.

    Each class begins with a variety of stretches and warm-ups to decrease the chance of injury, which will include push-ups, sit-ups, wrist warm, and repetitive exercises. We will also have a series of drills consisting of front rolls, back rolls; handstands, headstands, handstands. The class schedule has been structured to prepare the student’s body mentally and physically as the class advances. Each move and technique introduced in class will be integrated into the proceeding classes.

    The instructors have been certified and have taken an instructor's course that informs and regulates the direction and results of the after-school program. All instructors are given their curriculum for the entire duration of the year.
