Right Knee Sports Training
About
I started playing competitively during my 10th grade year in High School. My Father started my brothers and I playing tennis as a family recreational activity. I inherited my Father's love for the game of tennis including the history of the game, the character traits (sportsmanship, dedication, critical thinking skills, physical endurance achieved while training, and social interaction) that are exhibited by tennis players as they learn how to play and compete in this wonderful game. I played Varsity at my High School through my senior year (1975). Then I played local amateur tournaments. I started teaching in 1982 for Arlington Parks and Recreation and the first day I walked out to begin my lesson I knew this was where I belonged and teaching tennis was a passion I was going to have throughout my life.
I teach my students classic tennis stroke form as I believe these strokes are the base of all personal form that my evolve as they grow in their tennis skill. I take the time to get to know my students as I teach with the understanding that some strokes may need to be adapted so students can be successful. My degree in Adapted Physical Education enable me to work with students with physical disabilities.
