Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I ask my students first of level, their motivations, plans, and expectations. Second I use simple exercises to see all the different strokes and by doing simple observations decide the appropriate method and intensity. Third I start teaching as much as I can all the different strokes.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have attended more than 20 workshops in Colombia, Latin America and United States. This workshops are organized, developed and administered by the International Tennis Federation (ITF), The United States Tennis Association (USTA), and the United States Professional Tennis Association ( USPTR). I have being taking this capacitation for over 30 years. In those workshops you learn the latest techniques, and strategies to work with all levels and ages, working private, semiprivate and group lessons.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
One hour private lesson $50.00
One hour semiprivate lesson $60.00
One hour group 3 or more $20.00 each
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching a young age while playing national juniors in my country Colombia, because it was natural in me using my experience as a player, reading books and learning from other instructors.
